A Springtime Self-Care Checklist: Brought to you by AirBrush

Spring may have crept up on you and you’re only now really ready to tackle the new season. Like a shot in the arm, the blue skies, warmer breezes and blooming plants have you in the mood for a bit of springing of your own. AirBrush has a simple guide to get you on the fast track and up to speed with the rest of the spring lovers. This self-care checklist is meant to get you in the mood for Spring and enjoy the second half of this delectable season.

Clean Up and Clear Out

self-care checklist - spring clean

Whether you consider it a traditional spring-clean or a Marie Kondo declutter, the first step is to get your surroundings in order. A clean space contributes to a clear mind so that you can properly plan and live your best life. When you clean and declutter your space, you are able to determine what’s missing from your space, what no longer works for your space and whether you need a new space altogether!

Get Outdoors

self-care checklist - get outdoors

You can’t really blame the weather for not exploring more now, can you? The fairer weather means the land is more welcoming to us less hardy humans. On top of that, Spring flora and fauna are competing to bestow as much natural beauty as possible. You need to be out in nature’s bounty getting your feet in the grass, on the rocks and in the river. Spending time in nature is a recommended method for a mental reset.

Freshen up with Flowers and Plants

As much as you should get outside, another check on our spring self-care checklist is to bring the outdoors in. Specifically, with flowers. You can go for simple wildflowers or opt for more extravagant arrangements or go for anything in-between. The point is to have a reminder of life and the beauty in it. If you want a more consistent reminder, get a live plant to look after.

Get Physical

Look, we’re not talking about an hour of cardio but now that you don’t have to wear several layers to leave the house, there are more ways to incorporate physical activity into your life. No self-care checklist is complete without recommending movement and there are lots of good reasons for that. But don’t limit yourself to the gym. Take a short walk, anywhere. Try kayaking or hiking or cycling or basketball or dance! The options are almost endless!

The last item on our springtime self-care checklist is an indulgent makeover. What trend have you always wanted to try? Now’s as good a time as any.
